Are you a divorcee who wishes to remarry? If so, then you should know that the major requirement in the process of remarriage is the divorce decree of your pervious marital relationship. Without a certificate of divorce, you are not eligible to remarry. Divorce records can be requested at the Probate Court or at the Clerk’s Office in the county where you filed your divorce originally and where it was granted by the Probate Judge.
To request for a divorce record, you have to secure an application form first. You can get this via in person or download it from their online portal. Data that must be present in the application paper include the couple’s names in full, and the date and county of the divorce. Once the form is accomplished, you have to mail it to the right agency with a $10 search fee enclosed.
